What is the GPT playground?

You can use the Playground to explore everything that GPT-3 has to offer. You don’t even have to write a single line of code! The OpenAI Playground is the perfect way to get your feet wet with GPT-3. All you have to do is enter a prompt in plain English and the Playground will take care of the rest.

Who created the GPT-3 playground?

GPT-3 was created by OpenAI, the digital innovation company founded in 2015. Its release was made wider available this year when Microsoft announced that it was making its OpenAI services open to all users, allowing them to integrate Artificial Intelligence options into their own products and services. While Elon Musk did have a stake in OpenAI at one point, he sold his shares to Microsoft back in 2018.

GPT 3 playground tutorial: step by step guide

Intrigued by GPT-3 Playground? Follow these easy steps to get started!

  1. To begin, head over to the OpenAI website, click “Get Started” and create an account using your email and mobile number.
  2. Once you’re set-up, you can start with some prompts. Give GPT-3 a command such as “List four names for my cat”, and it will generate four cat names for you.
  3. You can further customize your experience by switching between the different models like Davinci, Curie, Babbage, or Ada and adjusting the temperature setting anywhere from 0 to 1. The closer it is to zero the more predictable the results will be; whereas if you up it to 1 then expect some creative (and perhaps unpredictable) responses!

Is GPT-3 playground free?

When signing up, you will be able to start right away with a free balance of $18 to spend as you wish. It might not seem like much, but the reality is that it goes a long way.

Is there a limit on OpenAI playground usage?

While OpenAI Playground is a great platform for users to get creative and test out their ideas, there are limits in place in order to ensure a smooth user experience. All users must abide by the organization-level rate limit of 20 requests/minute and 150,000 tokens/minute when utilizing the Free trial plan. Organizations may request more capacity from OpenAI if needed.

What can I use instead of OpenAI playground for free?

There are a few good alternatives to OpenAI Playground that offer similar features without any cost. AI21 Studio, for instance, is a free option with the model powering it being slightly weaker than GPT-3 data though still largely seen as the best one available to be used without charge. Bard is another option that utilizes LaMDA and Google’s conversational AI chatbot, and it will be publicly released soon.

How can you fix GPT 3 playground “not working”?

If the Open AI GPT 3 Playground isn’t working, you should try a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl + F5 on Windows) to get it going again. If that doesn’t work, it may be worth clearing your browser cache and cookies. You can also check the server uptime of OpenAI at status.openai.com to see if the servers are down. Finally, if you’re using a VPN, it may be worth disabling it to see if that helps resolve any issues with the GPT 3 playground not working.
